I have a 29 trail and a 27.5 enduro, I ride the 29er most of the time as it just pedals better and is better equipped for most of the trails in my area. If I’m going to head to the bike park or more of a downhill day I enjoy the 27.5. It’s more fun ripping berms and the extra travel just allows a little more forgiveness with some bigger
29 will be faster but 27.5 will be more playful. This claim is kinda bullshit because it really only applies if everything else about the bikes is very similar. I'm pretty sure my 29er trail bike is slower down hill but more playful than a 27.5" DH bike. 1. Senorsteepndeep.

I am absolutely faster on the 29er, but I find my self riding the hard tail more. My steel hard tail feels more like an adult BMX to me.
