Please keep us posted as to the resolution of this. Based on the poll posted in the Batteries sub-forum, over 30 of us C-Max owners have experienced dead batteries in our new C-Max. It's a shame--Ford has a serious problem on its hands. Edited April 22, 2013 at 02:39 AM by BobJustBob
Yes, I have used a Deltran Battery Tender Plus on my C-Max a few times. I am one of those unfortunate individuals who has experienced multiple instances (9 and counting) of a dead battery in the first 17 months of ownership. My completely unsubstantiated view is that using this charger forestalls the battery problem.

According to the Ford workshop manual it says the 12V battery on hybrid models is under the hood and the main battery is in the trunk, but apparently that is incorrect and I will need to get that updated for future customers.

2013 Ford Fusion Energi 12V battery is dead. I unlocked driver door with manual key. I could remove the back seat and unlock the truck from the inside in order to access the 12V battery.
